My passion and motivation to launch the Change Talk Coaching 8-week online course came from my lived experience with trauma. I experienced ongoing mental abuse, being built up and torn down within my narcissistic family of origin. I also suffered several episodes of sexual and physical abuse in my childhood by people I knew and relied on.

As I got older, I used alcohol to numb my wounds and hid behind a ‘false self’ to escape my pain, creating a path of destruction and self-loathing behaviour.  Working with my own coach/therapist, I pushed through a pretty spectacular personal transformation and will proudly tell you that I’m in love with the woman I am today.   Undoubtedly, my profoundly complex trauma history generated a thirst for knowledge and drive to help other trauma affected women have a better human experience.  I know this is my life’s work!

Supporting trauma-affected women improve their relationship with food and drink. The course provides a set of building blocks to enable a greater awareness of your cycle of behaviours with food and drink. With education, tools, and strategies to help you regain control and find balance in life and your choices.

THE COURSE

It is an 8-week online course with eight modules. Each module has a set of videos, an ebook, downloadable PDFs, self-assessments and a reflection journal.

CONTEXT

When you have experienced trauma in your life, things get in the way. 

  • Triggers create emotions, emotions create behaviours, and then all of a sudden, you find yourself using food and drink to numb things, to mask pain, to distract yourself from all of that stuff that is just really uncomfortable to face. 
  • Then you find yourself in a cycle of repeating unwanted behaviours with food and drink and then realising that you’re living a life that you didn’t think you were going to live. 

That’s what this course is all about. Through educating and guiding you, I will help you find the path so you can start taking back control of your choices with food and drink and live the life you want.
